Abstract

Disc mills.-In mills with oppositely-rotating grinding - discs, the cutting-grooves of each disc are arranged in concentric zones decreasing successively in coarseness towards the circumference, and venting grooves are provided extending substantially tangentially to a circle of comparatively small radius at the centre, of the disc. As shown, the grooves or flutes b are displaced parallel to the venting groove, a immediately in the rear thereof in the normal direction of rotation, and zones of grooves are progressively narrower in width radially from the centre outwardly.
