251,209. Lewis, J. Nov. 2, 1925. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Coffins; knock-down boxes; lids.-A collapsable coffin or like burial receptacle comprises a flanged base board 1 and end and side panels 3, 5 adapted to be secured by bolts and nuts to the flange 2 on the base board so as to conceal the flange and the edge of the base board. The end panels 3 are preferably provided with side wings 10 extending partly along the sides of the coffin and provided with grooves 16 to receive the ends of the side panels. The side wings 10 are preferably tongue-jointed to the end panels 3 and the lid or cover may be provided with a depending flange tongue-jointed into the edge of the main portion thereof.
