Abstract
251,002. Curnock, R. H., and Martin, H. H. J. Jan. 20, 1925. Driving.-The driving spring of a gramophone is wound up automatically, without interfering with the usual handle wind, by an attachment comprising an electromotor geared to the usual winding spindle and controlled by a switch actuated from the spring. The electromotor shaft a<1>, Fig. 2, is connected by a sleeve coupling b to a spindle thrusting against a ball e<1>. A worm c on the spindles drives a worm wheel d having a free-wheel ball clutch connection with the spindle f for winding up the spring l, Fig. 1. The motor circuit includes a resiliently mounted contact n<2> and a contact k<2> on an arm mounted on a pivot k' and pressed by a spring p'. As the motor spring unwinds it projects a pin j<1> which rocks the arm j to complete the circuit of the electromotor.
