Abstract

250,389. Wright, R. A., and United Yeast Co., Ltd. April 2, 1925. Lids and covers.-Relates to covers for basins or the like for icing sugar or other material requiring to be kept moist. The cover comprises a shell of aluminium or other non-rusting material into which is cast a filling 4 of plaster of paris or similar absorbent material held in place by an inturned rib 5 on the side of the shell. The filling may be reinforced by fabric, &c. 6 further to retain it in place. The cover is soaked in water for two or three hours before being used.
