Abstract

419,163. Kettles &c. HUNTLEY, R., 37, Henson Street, Summer Hill, near Sydney, Australia. Oct. 10, 1933, No. 27949. Convention date, Oct. 25, 1932. [Class 66.] The bottom of a kettle &c. is formed with a series of arcuate crescent-shaped water pockets 11 separated by heating channels 7 of uniform width extending outwardly from the centre and terminating in recesses 14 in the lowermost-part of the wall. A movable band may be provided, formed with slots adapted to register with the outlets of the channels to regulate the draught. The centre portion 8 of the bottom is dome-shaped. The hinged lid 15, which may incorporate a whistle, has a handle comprising a pair of arms 18 adapted to engage behind the stem 19 of the handle 6 to hold the lid in the raised position. Specification 144,430, [Class 66], is referred to.
