[Class 129.J A metal or porcelain tea or coffee pot has a spout a which together with a strainer b forms an open topped cavity of rounded internal shape without crevices in which dirt can lodge. The lid f is preferably formed with a lip f<1> which extends over the spout and rests, when the lid is closed, on a flange d on the strainer. The spout may be formed integrally with the strainer and secured in an opening in the pot. The holes c in the strainer may be replaced by slots.
