Abstract

404,887. Bathing-caps. HODGSON, D. N., 20, The Green, High Street, Ealing, London. July 28, 1933, No. 21258. [Class 63.] To avoid wetting the hair, a bathing cap 2 is provided with a band or ledge 1 of rubber or other waterproof material, which extends upwardly and inwardly from the edge of the cap to enclose free locks of the hair. The band 1, which may extend partly or wholly round the edge of the cap 2, is secured to the cap 2 by vulcanisation, with or without the aid of a doubled rubber binding strip, or, in a modification, the band 1 may be formed integrally with the cap 2.
