Abstract

A bedding system comprises a duvet and an associated duvet cover each provided with corresponding and cooperating releasable fasteners. Preferably the releasable fasteners are located on the four corners and the midpoint of each side of the duvet and duvet cover. Indicia may be provided to allow the user to align the duvet within the duvet cover. The releasable fasteners may be one or more of buttons, toggles or hook and loop fasteners.

Description
The Attachcd Duvet & Duvet Cover (ADDC) is an augmented duvet and duvet cover augmented such that, by means of a temporary fastening, a duvet cover may be attached to a duvet so that during use the edges and corners of the duvet do not become far removed from the edges of the duvet cover. In addition the ADDC would be marked in some way to ensure that the correct orientation of the duvet cover and duvet is always achieved.
An example of a possible implementation of this invention would be a duvet cover with 8 small loops sown into the 4 corners and the mid point of the four edges. In the corresponding locations on a duvet 8 toggles on short string would be sown. These toggles would then be attached to the 8 loops. The consequent duvet would then be unable to move relative to the inside of the duvet cover.
In the aforementioned example implementation the second part could be achieved by the colouring of the the duvet along the short edges in blue and the long edges in red and an identical colouring scheme could be employed on the inside of the duvet colour.
Equally valid, but by no means exhaustive, alternatives to the above would be the use of buttons or velcro on more or less parts of the ADDC including the use of Velcro on of the entire edges of the Duvet and Internal edges of the duvet Cover. Similarly for the second part numbers or letters located in close proximity to the attachments herein already identified would be valid ways of marking which part of the duvet should be attached to which part of the Duvet Cover.
