Abstract
250,031. Hopwood, E. April 27, 1925. Combing - machines. - The rotary brush B, Fig. 1, for clearing the noil from the comb circles is mounted in a holder H pivoted at P' to an adjustable rod D' so that it can be turned up for removal &c. whilst the comb is running. A stay F' adjustable on the rod D<1> maintains the brush in its correct working position. The rod D' is carried by the usual adjustable base piece G. The brush spindle B', Fig. 3, is carried in a long bearing H<1> in the holder H and is held up to its work by a ball C thrust forward by a spring S. A screwed member C<2> confines and adjusts the spring.
