Abstract

247,762. Davis, J. V. P., and Grovesend Steel & Tinplate Co., Ltd. March 20, 1925. Discharging and feeding devices for endless belt conveyers; tensioning.-Sheet metal plates, &c. are delivered side by side to a series of endless belts 2 between rollers 4 which engage them until they are positioned over a series of belts 3, each article being supported on the first series of belts at one side only so that one edge falls on to the second series of belts when the article has passed completely through the rollers. The rollers are provided with ribs 7 or felt rings 7<a>. The plates are lifted from the ends of the belts 3 by rotary plates 16 and deposited on guide rails or shoots. The rollers 14 supporting the belts 3 are mounted on levers pivoted in brackets 14<b> and connected to rods 15<a> acted on by springs 15<b>.
