Abstract
247,538. Lorenz Akt.-Ges., C. Feb. 13, 1925, [Convention date]. Keying in magnetic modulating systems.- For equalizing the load on an arc or other generator G during the operation of the key T, a resistance W is shunted across the choke D, in the circuit which completes the generator G to the aerial through the transformer L. When the key is depressed the cores of the chokes D1, D2, become saturated and transmission takes place, but when the key is raised, the chokes are effective, the choke D2 preventing the transmission of signals. In the former case the resistance W is short-circuited, while in the latter it takes current from the generator. By a suitable choice of magnitudes the load on the generator can be kept uniform in the two cases.
