Terminals comprising a central threaded post A, base B and thumbscrew C, have the post A slotted and surrounded by a helical spring D, so that wires may be threaded through the slotted post and clamped between the convolutions of the spring. The coils of the spring may be flat or chamfered so as to grip the inserted wire.
