Abstract

246,424. Benda, J. Oct. 16, 1924. Welts.-Boots and shoes are provided with an ornamental false welt 3 of patent leather of the same nature and colour as the upper 2 or differing therefrom. The welt mav be cemented under pressure to an outer sole 1 by celluloid solution. The sole may be prepared and connected to the welt 3 before attachment to the insole. In a modification, the false welt is cemented over the real welt as a facing to the latter.
