Abstract

246,233. Stevens, H., and Stevens & Co. (1914), Ltd., A. J. Nov. 3, 1924. Wire resistances, cored and enclosed. - A resistance for use with thermionic valves comprises an ebonite or like tube 6 containing a resistance 7 coupled to plug-in or socket pins 5 mounted on the wall of the tube extending into the interior thereof. The pins 5 may engage terminal pins 4 of a resistance 3 fixed to a receiver panel 1 by means of said terminal pins. The resistance 3 comprises a coil 2 wound on an ebonite former. The arrangement may be used as a variable filament resistance adapted for use with bright emitter or dull emitter valves.
