Abstract

A flood barrier for a doorway, window etc. comprising a frame 4 permanently attached to the wall surrounding the entrance and a gate formed from a single planar panel 6 which is slid into the frame and secured in place using bolts. Preferably the panel is manufactured from aluminium. There may be rubber seals between the frame and the wall (1 2 3 Figure 2). Also claimed is a flood barrier with hinges.

THIS INVENTION WILL SAFEGUARD HOMES AND PREMISES FROM FLOODING
IN EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS SUCH AS RAIN THIS ANTI FLOOD GATE
WILL BE FITTED TO DOORS OR WINDOWS AND AIR VENTS STOPPING
WATER ENTERING PREMISES
ONCE THE FRAME IS FiTTED AN ALUMINIUM GATE WILL SLIDE INTO PLACE
MAKING THIS ANTI FLOOD GATE WATER TIGHT AND WATER PROOF NO
WATER WILL BE ABLE TO ENTER
ONCE THE ANTI FLOOD GATE IS NOT NEEDED, WHEN FLOODS HAS STOPPED
THE ALUMINIUM GATE CAN BE RELEASED AND THE MAIN FRAME WILL STAY
FIXED TO THE WALL
THIS INVENTION WILL NOW BE DESCRIBED SOLELY BY WAY OF EXAMPLE
AND WITH REFERENCES TO THE ACCOMPANING DRAWINGS IN WHICH

THREE SETS OF ANGLE BAR WELDED ON THE TWO SIDES AND BOTTOM

  1. FIG 20F4 1 2 3 RUBBER SECTIONS TO BE GLUED TO MAIN SECTION 4 RUBBER SECTION TO BE GLUED TO 6 GATE FIG 30F4 MAIN SECTION 4 TO BE BOLTED TO BRICKS AND STEP BY 10mm RAWL PLUGS
    BUT SEALANT TO BE APPLIED FIRST AND AFTER SECTION IS FIXED
    ALUMIMIUM GATE 6 TO SUDE INTO SECTION 4 AND THEN BOLTED IN ON THE OUT SIDE WITH 10mm BOLTS MAGNIFIED SECTION 4 SHOWS HOLES TO BE THREADED FOR 10mm BOLTS ON BOTH SIDES AND BO1TOM OF THE OUTER SECTION AND THREE SETS OF ANGLE BAR WELDED ON THE TWO SIDES AND BOTrOM OF SECTION 4 FOR HUNDRED PERCENT SEALANT WHEN GATE IS BOLTED FIG 4 OF 4
