Bedstead adjustments.-An invalid bed can be tilted about a horizontal axis g by a handoperated spindle and nut de. vice situated at and operated from the foot of the head of the bed, said device comprising a bracket t on the mattress frame q carrying a nut u, a sleeve w carried by a bracket v on the main frame c and a hand - operated threaded spindle x. The members u and w may be pivoted in forks on their respective brackets. The bed may also be rotated about a vertical axis by means of a worm wheel 11 on the pedestal 9, around which the worm 12 may be moved by turning the handle 17 in reach of the patient. These means for adjustment may also be applied to operating tables.
