Trawling-gear.-The warp d leading to the trawler is detachably connected to a bracket c on the otter-board a, whence it passes through an aperture b direct to the net without additional connection to the board, the warp being in tension throughout its length. The warp is provided with eyes f to any one of which the bracket c may be connected. The edges of the aperture b may be armoured or may be provided with rollers. In a modification, the warp engages apertures in plates mounted on either side of a larger aperture in the board; the plates are adjustable to vary their distance from the bracket c. In another modification there is only one adjustable plate. The otter-board may be provided with a slot j, Fig. 6, and the aperture fitting b<1> with another slot to allow insertion of the warp, the aperture being closed by a latch k secured by a draw-pin l. When rollers are provided, these may be detachably mounted to serve as the closure. When the board is connected to the net by head- and foot-ropes, separate apertures are provided for each.
