Annealing-boxes. - Bars E<1> of Z-section aresecured to the bottom edge of the sides A and ends B of an annealing cover to stiffen the same and are provided with gussets e. To protect the heads of the rivets d<1> by which the vertical stiffening bars D are secured to the sides A, flat bars F are secured by rivets f to the flanges of the bars D after the countersunk rivets d' have been put in. The bars F may be used in covers having angle-section stiffening bars. Specifications 10370/09, 292,746 and 292,792 are referred to.
