243,798. Stevens, D. A., and Stephens, J. H., (Representatives of Sulllivan, H. W.). Sept. 3, 1924. Indicating. - In a galvanometer or other measuring instrument wherein a suspension system is employed having two relatively adjustable elements such as a rod 11 and strip 12, the adjusting device comprises a tubular member 13 having a through bore 14 into the opposite ends of which the rod and strip or other suspension elements are passed, and clamped by a screw 16 or the like. The elements may be arranged so as to be coaxial with one another after leaving the tubular member and they may be arranged coaxially with the bore. As shown the rod 11 is reduced in diameter at 20 and the aperture 15 is coaxial with the main part of the rod and with the bore. In another construction the rod is bifurcated to embrace the strip.
