243,754. Beth, E. W. July 3,1924, [Convention date]. Addition to 236,227. Fish tanks and aquaria. - The water in an aquarium is regenerated by injecting air at about 2 atmospheres pressure by a tube 1 which passes into a tube 4 open at both end and extending from near the bottom of the tank 2 to above the level of the water 5. Water is thus drawn into the tube 4 at the bottom and leaves as a jet by an aperture 6. Carbon dioxide and other noxious gases expelled by the compressed air escape at the top of the tube 4. No filter is used in order not to remove infusoria.
