Abstract

A refrigerated storage cabinet has an associated refrigeration unit 'C','C1', which in use, is arranged to cool the cabinet. The cabinet is suitable for use as a wardrobe, and may be used to store clothing, linen, and bedding items such as a folding mattress, sheets, pillows, duvets, etc. The cabinet may have shelves 'S' and a rail arrangement 'R' for arranging and hanging stored items, and a dryer arrangement 'D' may assist drying of the stored items. The cabinet may include electronic controls ('A' fig 1), which permit stored items to be refrigerated for a predetermined time period and then restored to room temperature. The cabinet may be thermally insulated 'TI', and warm air may be circulated within. Moisture within the cabinet may be limited or extracted by a de-humidifier arrangement 'E', and a drip tray 'DT' may also be provided.

Descri ption_ The basic standard Frobe has a refrigeration cycle from

room temperature down to below freezing and staying at this below for an automatic or chosen period according to how the operator sets the timer programme controls returning to room temperature at the end of the programme cycle.

The de-humidifier and dryer mechanisms are optional to the Frobe range of sizes and form design variations from the standard but are shown in the drawings for illustration purposes. The exact positioning on the Frobe of any mechanical attachment can vary depending Ofl costs of manufacture, the design range variations from the standard and consumer preferences and domestic living space, styles and interiors.

Claims

1. The Frobe as described and shown in the drawings is unique in that

it brings together in one appliance technical features in a furnishing in the domestic setting that are not provided by any other furnishing or appliance in this combined form.

2. As referred to in one (1.) above the refrigeration to below freezing and the return to room temperature as part of its normal programme cycle of clothing/garments and bedding in one domestic appliance is unique to this appliance and this technical feature is not provided by any other domestic appliance; by the incorporation of a timer and programme to the refrigeration cycle allowing for variable temperature setting over time, that means the inside of the appliance varies in temperature over time down to below freezing (zero centrigrade) at one point:1.
