Abstract

A portable locking system comprising a ground anchor. The ground anchor comprises a push rod, which has a top-piece with a bolt head for turning at one end and a spiral blade at the other. The system also includes a box to house the top-piece of the push rod as well as hoops and a hasp. In use, the push rod is wound down into an area of soft ground through the bottom of the box, using a spanner or a wheel brace or similar, before a locking pin is inserted. The box is then closed, with the hoops and hasp protruding through the top of the box, before the system is secured using a padlock inserted through the hasp. The hoops act as chain guides to enable an article such as a barbeque, trailer, garden furniture or other mobile article to be secured using a chain.

DESCRIPTION
PORTALOCK
The product provides a mobile securing and locking system that enables an article to be protected from theft in any place where a six square inch piece of soft ground is available and where there are no other forms of security in place Its' operation works by the winding down into any soft ground ie. soil, sand or similar constituent material the spiral blade at the end of the push rod by means of spanner or wheel brace to the top of the push rod. Once fully immersed In the ground and the top of the push rod is fixed over the visible square box, a locking pin is inserted and the box is closed and secured with a padlock through the hasp provided on the box. It is now impossible to remove this article from the ground without substantial excavations. The article to be protected is then chained to the trooped guides on the box.
By reversing the above the portalock can be removed and then used elsewhere.
The object of this invention is to offer the consumer a mobile security option to protect any article that has a linkage point for a chain. To prevent theft of Barbeques, bicycles, trailers, garden furniture, camping and caravanning equipment plus any other numerous mobile products.
