Abstract

A ceiling rose has a flat base so that water does not collect in the middle, drip holes around the outside to allow water to drain away, and an inverted funnel around the flex outlet to dived water to the side. This keeps water away from the terminals in the event of it leaking into the ceiling rose.

WATER SAFE COVER FOR CEILING ROSE
Water penitration in lights is common where there is a leak from above. This will help drain water away from terminals.
To keep water away from terminals (electrical) With holes in the cover water will drain away also if it is flat water will not collect in the middle. If there is an inverted funnel in cable hole (middle) water will not flow down to light bulb and end terminals.
With reference to accompanying drawing(s).

Water leak from above instead of filling up water runs away.

Claims (3)

1 Flat cover so water does not collect in middle as with convex covers.
2 Inverted funnel for flex hole in middle so as water does not go straight down middle onto bulb.
3 Drip holes so water does not collect. (Around outside.)
