Abstract
241,082. LemÚtais, J. A. Feb. 18, 1925. Mixing-valves. - A mixing-valve for hot and cold water &c. comprises a double-sided lift disc f, Fig. 2 one face of which controls a central hotwater conduit b and a concentric annular outlet c while the other face controls the cold water inlet i. The valve seating at the inlet, i is carried by a separate valve casing component h, or by a part integral with the casing cover, as shown in Fig, 7. When the valve is withdrawn slightly from the closed position shown in Fig. 2, as indicated in Fig. 7, cold water alone passes to the ,discharge chamber d. A further withdrawal removes the plug g from the inlet b and allows hot water also to pass. The complete withdrawal of the valve f against the seating at i shuts off the cold-water supply.
