Abstract
A fireplace comprises detachable parts. The fireplace may be disassembled for storage. The fireplace may comprise a base 24 into which a main body is slotted, the base 24 having rotating locking wheels 14. The fireplace may have a hooking eye 18 and removable pulling handle 20. There may be provided a removable ash tray 17. The fireplace may feature a removable coving 12 at the base 24 to allow access to the wheels 14. The fireplace may be manufactured using metal, lightweight firebrick and plastic. The base 24 may be manufactured from concrete. There may be provided a metal fire guard 10 and a metal grill 16 for supporting coals. The fireplace may feature a gas burner arrangement (30, 31, 31, figure 11).
Description
FIREPLACE
The invention is a fireplace mounted on a solid slab with rotating locking wheels, which gives the fireplace its mobility.
Fires are well known in gardens or patios but suffer the disadvantage of been difficult to relocate, one of the most common of fires in the garden is the Mexican Chiminea.
The main advantages the fireplace has over the Chiminea is its mobility it's designed on the traditional open fireplace, thus letting you appreciate the glory of open fire. It's easy to clean out the ashes, as there is a removable ashtray built within the fireplace. The fireplace can be stored away easily as the main body of fireplace consists of inter locking lightweight firebricks.
The object of this invention is to provide a traditional looking fireplace suitable for outside use, which can be easily and safely manoeuvred around the garden or patio.
Accordingly, this invention provides a fireplace which is reasonably light weight mounted on a solid slab with rotating locking wheels thus giving the fireplace the option of been relocated easily and safely.
The fireplace is made of concrete slabs for the hearth and the base, lightweight firebrick for the main body of the fireplace. Metal for the firegrill, fireguard, ashtray and metal and plastic for the wheels.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which.

FIGURE 10 shows a cross section side elevation with fireguard attached on the fireplace.
FIGURE 11 shows a cross section side elevation with gas jets and gas bottle attached to the fireplace.
As shown in figure 1,the fireplace comprises of a metal fireguard 10, a metal grill 16, which supports the coals, when the fireplace is alight. 17 shows an ashtray, which collects the ashes from the fire. 24 shows the fire hearth with holes made in it for 10 the fireguard, the bottom pins on 10 slot into the slab keeping the fireguard secure.
The removable pulling handle 20, hooks into 18 the hooking eye when the fireplace needs to be relocated.12 shows the removable coving that allows access to 14 the rotating locking wheels.
Figure 2 shows the back end of the fireplace and shows the ashtray 17 with concave handle. 16 shows the metal grill, which stands above 17 the ashtray.
Figure 3 shows a side view of the fireplace showing 16 the metal grill in broken lines indicating the inside of the fireplace. 17 shows the ashtray, which fits underneath 16 the metal grill. 10 the fireguard slots into the two holes in the front 24 the hearth this keeps 10 the fireguard in place.
Figure 5 shows the seven parts of the fireplace that slot together and theses consist of light weight fire brick with metal pins and drilled out holes. 22 shows the concrete slab with rotating locking wheels attached and holes in the slab for the connection of 23. 24 shows the fireplace hearth a concrete slab with metal pins to slot into 23, and drilled holes to allow 25 to slot into place. 26 slots into 25, 27 slots into 26 and 28 slots into 27.
Figure 10 shows a cross section side elevation with 29 the mesh fireguard attached. 29 the mesh fireguard is made from light wire mesh with metal frame.
Figure 11 shows a cross section side elevation with 30 the gas jets sitting on 16 the metal grill. 31 shows the hose which connects to 32 the gas bottle.
Claims (7)
1. A fireplace with detachable parts which can be easily disassembled for storage and assembled when the fireplace is needed for use.
2. A fireplace as claimed in Claim 1 where the main body of the fireplace slots into the base.
The base has rotating locking whecis, which gives the fireplace its mobility.
3. A fireplace as claimed in Claim I or Claim 2 with hooking eye and removable pulling handle which makes it very easy to relocate.
4. A fireplace as claimed in Claim 3 with a built in ashtray that is removable which makes it easy to clean the fireplace out.
5. A fireplace as claimed in any preceding claim including a removable coving at the base of the fireplaec, which allows access to the rotating locking wheels.
6. A fireplace as claimed in any proceeding claim which is made from metal, lightweight firebrick and plastic for the fireplace whecis.
7. A fireplace substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
