Abstract

The fireplace can be easily dismantled and transferred from one location to another. It consists of a hearth-unit(1) with a U-shaped metal frame supporting refractory bricks(5) which are not joined together and are placed on the inside lateral walls of the frame and on a horizontal base-plate(4) located inside the wings of the U-shaped frame. A metal hood(2) overlies the hearth unit and links it up to an evacuation duct. A decorative exterior(11, 15) covers both the hearth unit and the hood. A pull-out tray(7) collects the ashes and cinders, and slides in channel runners(8) below the bricked surface.
