Coating bakers' goods.- In a machine of the type wherein biscuits to be coated with cream or the like are carried bv an endless conveyer beneath an endless stencil belt cooperating with a supply hopper, the conveyer consists of two relatively thick, narrow endless runs 3, preferably of leather, spaced by transverse metal ties 4 which support a thin midrun 5 of material, such as silk. The ties 4 carry studs 6 which project through the mid-run and carry biscuit blanks from a magazine 7 to the coating position. The runs 3 are connected to side chains 9 by pins 10 projecting from the chains at intervals into the runs, and the upper run of the conveyer is supported at the coating position by a table adjustable by levers 40 and screws 41. Pads 8, equal in thickness to the ties 4, may be sewn to the underside of the midrun 5. The conveyer is cleaned by a rotary brush 21 and adjacent to the magazine 7 the conveyer is held down by a spring finger 19 which may have wiping material attached to its under surface. The stencil belt (not shown in Fig. 1) is retained around pulleys 12, 13 and passes between wipers 23, 24, the wiper 23 being pressed by a weight against the belt in opposite to the wiper 24 which is pressed upwardly by a spring 26 adjustable by a screw 28. Electric or other heaters 27, 27<a> may warm the belt before and/or after the wiping-position.
