Fluid-pressure.-In an antomatic pressurebrake system, provision is made for recharging the auxiliary reservoirs rapidly when the train pipe pressure is raised to release the brakes. As shown in Figs. 3 and 5, each triple valve piston 12 may be bored to receive a number of non- return valves 16, through which pressure fluid from the train pipe may pass to the auxiliary reservoir. By varying the setting of a spring 18, the valves may be arranged to close when a predetermined excess of pressure still remains in the train pipe, equalization being effected through the usual feed grooves 14, 13. In a modification, each branch pipe leading from the train pipe to the triple valve may be provided with a pipe which by-passes the triple valve and leads direct to the auxiliary rsservoir, a spring- loaded non-return valve being provided in this pipe.
