Abstract

239,647. Ralph, G. E. July 10, 1924. Reinforced-concrete roofs; walls.-Roofs and walls are formed by securing boards 1, 8 to rafters 2 or studs 7, placing thereon roofing felt 3, then fixing wire netting 4 by clouts or staples, and finally applying cement or cement and sand 5 in which the netting is embedded. The boards are sufficiently close together to prevent sagging or bulging of the netting. The outer face of the cement may be tinted or marked to represent tiles or slates, and the edges may be finished off with a curved metal strip. For walls, the interior surface may be levelled up with plaster or cement. Specification 220,434 is referred to.
