Trouser presses.-Connected to the lower board a' is a frame b with pillars b engaged by apertures in a spring c, which is deformed from its normal straight shape by a cam e<1> on a lever e. To the upper surface of the board a. which is convex, is fixed a metal plate d, which is also attached to the spring c. The cam e' works in a groove in the board a, and at the bottom of the groove is placed a bearing plate f for the cam. In a modification, the upper surface of the board is flat and a groove arranged therein to allow the spring to be bent downwardly into concave form. In another modification, the board is flat and is not grooved, and the spring c, plate d, and cam lever are made integral with one another.
