Abstract
239,260. Huch, A. Feb. 29, 1924. Preserving food.-Food is preserved by heating in sealed cans as rapidly as possible to a temperature between 37.5‹ and 100‹ C. and maintaining at that temperature for at least twice as long as is usual in ordinary " pasteurization " processes for temporary preservation. The application of the invention to green beans, asparagus, and strawberries is described in detail.
