Abstract

A case in the shape of a crash helmet comprises a rounded top section B and a flat base portion I which are joined by a circumferential zipper fastener/s E. The case may have a fin C which is profiled so as to allow the case to be stood on its side and a handle G where the fastener/s meet. The base portion may have clips H allowing it to be secured to the back of a motorcycle or to the seat of a vehicle. The top section may have a mesh D secured thereto allowing the storage of helmet visors and documents therein. The helmet case may be fabricated from trilaminate foam fabric, kevlar<SP>RTM</SP> or light alloy.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
CRASH HELMET CASE The invention relates to a crash helmet case which is made in the shape of a crash helmet with a flat base, flat rear, an industrial all round zip which zips up. The base to the top enclosure to enclose the helmet. There is a handle at the front and five round clips studded to the base in order to be able to strap the case to persons shoulders or back passenger seat of a motorcycle or a car seat Other types of cases are available but are not in the shape of a helmet, or are as versitile and protective when helmet case is dropped or hits other solid objects or hard surfaces An object of this invention is to provide a safe method of transporting all types of crash helmets.
Accordingly the invention provides and easy way to carry in hand, transport in vehicles, storage of crash helmets with clips at 5 points of the base allows the case to be secured in a vehicle/back of a motorcycle or useing Velcro (TM) to secure it Preferbaly the helmet case is made of trilaminate form ! fabric by way of heat moulded materials, or may be made of Kevlar (TM), or any siutable other fabric/rubber or plastics including light alloy metals or from a combination of materials.
A prefered embodiment of the invention will now be discribed with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Fig. I shows side view of the helmet case Fig. 2 shows view of the helmet case open with a crash helmet resting in the base.
Fig. 3 shows a 3/4 view of the helmet case Fig. 4 shows the base of the helmet case Fig. 5 shows the rear view of the helmet case FIG I As shown in Fig. I (B) shows the top half of the case with (A) raised cushening bars in the top centre of the top half of the case. (D) slanting mesh all round the top half for storage of visor. Documents. (E) all round zip running from rear of helmet case to the front on both sides to close the base to the top part of the helmet case. Below which is attached to the base (I) a rubber handle. (H) studed to (1) base are five studed clips to attach straps for securing FIG 2 Shows the helmet case open with a crash helmet resting in the base
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
FIG 3 Shows a 3/4 front side view of the helmet case FIG 4 Shows (I) base with bubble dipressions (J) which protrude on the outside of the base so that the case rests on them It also shows (K) which is a hinge between the top of base allowing it to open all the way round so that the top rests on its fin.
