Abstract

238,156. Kurth, F. W. April 14, 1925. Combined hand and foot driving and hand steering mechanism.-The steering-fork 4 of a tricycle carries at its upper end cranks 10 adapted to be turned by hand and connected by curved links 11 to pedal cranks 6 secured to the axle of the front wheel. The spindle of the cranks 10 carries a ratchet wheel 12 which is engaged by a hand-operated pawl 13 to prevent backward movement of the tricycle.
