Abstract

A method of manufacturing a reinforced concrete panel with a decorative face resembling a stone wall comprises the steps of producing a mould to a random stone pattern, applying a layer of coloured concrete to the mould, adding a reinforcing mesh and galvanised loops and finally adding another layer of concrete to a depth of approximately 40 mm. The finished panel has a front face resembling a stone wall and a back face with protruding loops. Adjacent panels may be connected by connecting rods passed through a projecting loop of each panel.

DESCRIPTION This invention relates to, Reinforced concrete panels with one decorative face, to be used in conjunction with gabion baskets in the construction industry.
The panels will replace the time consuming method of facing up gabion baskeys with random stone.
Firstly a mould will be produced to a random stone pattern, Then a concrete layer will be applied to the mould which will be coloured to customers specifications, Then a fine reinforcing mesh will be added and galvanised lugs placed in position for interconecting the panels on installation, A final layer of concrete will be added to a depth of approx 4 4o mm.
The panels are particularly but not exclusively produced for use with Gabion baskets within the construction industry. fig 1. Shows face and end elevation. fig 2. Shows rear of panel and interconections.
