Electric appliances.-The circuit of an electrotherapeutic appliance is closed by the application of pressure to an electrode which is attached to an induction coil and which can move longitudinally under the action of springs. The apparatus comprises an electrode u fixed to an inc.uction coil b which is provided with a separate make-and-break device i operated by a coil q. Discs r are provided on the interrupter i to carry off the heat. A condenser h is also included in the circuit. The induction coil slides on pillars k under the influence of springs l, and when fully depressed completes the circuit through contacts n, o. The electrode u is connected to the secondary winding e of the induction coil, as shown in Fig. 5. A three-part plug p is pro. vided, suitable pairs being used according to the voltage in the mains.
