Abstract

236,826. Smith, H. P. Jan. 9, 1925. Arches.-In a arch for steam generator furnaces, of the kind comprising brickwork 4 arranged between and around watertubes 1, the tubes are bent at their upper ends, as shown, to enable the upper header 2, as well as the lower one 3, to be located outside the furnace. The upper header is supported by the angle bracket 5<a> and carries flanged members 5 which support the vertical brickwork forming a continuation of the arch. The headers 2, 3 may be connected with the circulating system of the boiler.
