Abstract

236,386. Cheney, C. W. July 18, 1924. Stud-andsocket fastenings.-In a fastening for purses &c. of the notched stud type, the attachment plate on one part of the purse carries two notched studs and the front plate f on the other part has two holes j, k for the studs and two spring-pressed pivoted catches h, i to engage the notched studs. In a modification the catches are pivoted centrally and have pins projecting through the front plate; or the catches, Fig. 8, may slide to engage under the influence of a spring l. Any of the modifications may have looking means.
