Abstract

The platform comprises two side frames, two stretcher bars extending between the frames and rubber coated rollers that rotate and also slide laterally between the frames. To fit a vehicle wheel to a hub, the wheel is placed on the rollers for alignment. This platform can be used with most motor vehicles, tractors and possibly aircraft and railway rolling stock.

1- 1 2355697 DISCRIPTION An Alloy Platform with two side-frames, two
stretcher bars, two rubber covered rollers which rotate and move latterly on linear bearings.
A flat plate is to roll vehicle road wheel up onto rubber covered rollers.
L 1 A Vehicle Road Wheel Aligning Platform with Lateral Sliding Rollers which also Rotate to the desired position to Locate Road Wheel onto Wheel Hub.
2 Eleviates Lifting of Roadwheel to Hub Height making changing of a Wheel easy.
3 The Benefit of the Platform is to Assist in the Changing of a Vehicle Road Wheel. The Vehicle can be raised or lowered by means of a Jack to the height required to fit the Wheel onto the Locating Pins on the Wheel Hub.
4 The side frames of the Platform are of alloy to -keep the weight as light as possible for carrying purposes.
The Rubber Rollers are to prevent the Road Wheel Skidding and to Help traction of said Wheel.
6 The Four Pins on the Underside of the Platform are to minimise movement of the Unit when being used.
7 Linear Bearings carry the Two Rollers to make Rotating and Lateral Movements.
