A hexagonal float valve 4, with upwardly and inwardly inclined faces 4<x>, is held upon the neck 3 of the bottle by a ball weight 5. The ball is controlled by a retention member 6 having ribs on the periphery and lugs 6x to contact with an inturned shoulder 1<x> of the casing, the undersurface being formed as a hollow cone.
