Automatic exchange selectors.-The stepping magnet has a slow releasing armature A controlling the release detent F2 and a light armature B which operates the stepping pawl F1 in accordance with the impulses (line interruptions). When the line circuit is permanently interrupted, both armatures fall back and the wiper shaft is restored by a spring. The armature A is carried by a non- magnetic pivot L and has a gap L at mid-length extending throughout its depth, and a cut-away portion to accommodate the light armature B.
