Abstract

232,798. Hodgson, J. F. May 24, 1924. Mop wringers.-In a mop-wringing appliance of the kind having a pair of rollers one mounted in stationary bearings and the other in a rocking frame operated by the foot of the user to press the swinging roller against the non-rocking roller, the rocking frame 32 comprises a pair of rectilinear side members 33 between which the swinging roller 3 is mounted at one end and a pedal 34 at the other end, the side members being pivoted between the rocking roller and the pedal, for example upon the lateral members 11 that carry the non-rocking roller 2. The wring- ing-appliance may be temporarily secured to a bucket or other vessel 1 by means, for example, of the bands 41, the lugs 42 and the bolts 43, or the appliance may be secured permanently to the receptacle. The swinging roller and its frame are so constructed and arranged that the swing- ing roller is caused by gravity normally to. assume a position away from the non-rocking roller.
