Abstract

232,190. Etablissements de Dion- Houton Soc. Anon. April 12, 1924, [Convention date]. Stands or supports.-Relates to a turntable attached to a railway vehicle and raised and lowered by jointed linkwork. The lower part i<1> of the turntable carries inverted channel bars which bear on the rails while the upper part 1 is connected to the. vehicle frame 9 by two sets of linkwork, each set consisting of two levers 3 and two links 5 forming toggle linkages, the levers being operated from a transverse shaft 2 by a pinion 12 engaging toothed racks F, F<1>, the ends of which are linked to extensions of the levers 3. The two sets on each side are operated simultaneously by a crank 10 on the transverse shaft 2, a brake being also provided to regulate the rate of lowering.
