Tamping-machines; moulds. - Consists in mounting the stamp on a tour-bar parallelogram linkage so that the rear is always horizontal, and in operating the ejecting-piston through rock gear. As shown, the stamp 13 is carried on parallel links 6, 7, supported on axles 4, 5 connecting the rear portions 3 of the framework 1, the front ends of the links being connected to axles 10, 11 extending between brackets 9 on the stamp. A handle 8 connects extensions of the links 7. To prevent jamming, a slight clearance 14 is provided between the stamp 13 and the mould 2. The bottom piston 16 is operated by a hand lever 21 through one or more sectors 19 engaging a rack or racks 17. Springs 23 are attached to rear extensions of the links 7 and to the frame.
