Abstract

A pair of lingerie briefs comprises three separate components, an elasticated back panel (17), an elasticated front panel (15) and a gusset (10), wherein each component is releasbly attached to the other two by means arranged around the perimeter of each component, the front panel being provided with one or more pouches (14) as an internal lining. The two panels may be attached along a mutual edge by means of a zip fastener.

h OSTIMIST LADIES LINGERIE BRIEFS This invention relates to ladies

lingerie briefs such as french knickers, culottes, shorts, lingerie shorts, teddies, girdles, body controllers, body suits, body shapers and swim wear which has been designed f or ostimists.

Ladies lingerie briefs are well known for their variety in styles and shapes. but the lady ostimist requires more from her lingerie brief areas for confidence, freedom of access, privacy and comfort after undergoing major operation at the abdominal region.

The invention provides ostimist ladies briefs with a detachable gusset, an all around means for attaching and detaching the gusset, an elasticated skeleton to keep the garment in place when the gusset is completely removed, new shaped body parts which no longer have the gusset shape incorporated, concealed pouches as an internal lining on the front panel,, zips opening upwards for side seams and a brief with a detachable back by means of attaching and detaching the side seams.

Referring to the drawings of the ostimist ladies lingerie briefs as french knickers, culottes, shorts, lingerie shorts, teddies, girdles, body suits, body shapers or swim wear incorporating a detachable gusset 10, a means for attaching and completely detaching the gusset with either studs 11 or some other means, an elasticated skeleton 12 to keep the garment in place when the gusset is completely removed, a new shaped back body part 13 and a new shaped front body part 14 which has concealed pouches 15 as an internal lining, zips 16 opening upwards for side seams, a fully detachable back 17 brief by hook and eyes 18 or some other means not shown.

To construct a brief with two side panels with an incorporated gusset shape for french knickers, culottes, shorts, lingerie shorts, teddies, girdles, body controllers, body suits, body shapers and swim wear for lady ostomists, the patterns or blocks have to be redafted by removing the gusset sections.

To remove the gusset section the two front and back centre seam curves which are on the left and right side of the pattern pieces must be shaped down to the fullest length of a lingerie garment similar to the hip curves on shorts or mini skirt pattern shapes and slightly turning inward.

The waist curve must become less dominant on this redraft of pattern and the leg arches must be arched in the opposite direction because the centre seams now become the side seams of the front and back panels with the front panel being slightly narrower and shorter than the back panel and the back panel being slightly longer and wider than the front panel similar to a mini-skirt with side seams.

The right and left pouch pattern piece/s must be no higher than a third of the height of the fully constructed brief front spanning from side seam to side seam, similar to an apron double pocket/pouch.

The separate gusset shape is longer with a new shape to reach the front and back hems between the leg area.

The means 11 to attach and detach the gusset 10 is sewn on all the gusset edges 11 and correspondingly on the body part front and back lower hem centres and on the leg straps which are attached to the body part.

Fitted zips 16 on the side seams 16 can replace the side elasticated lace and must open at least as far as the hip 1 ine.

The constructed brief should be like a mini-skirt with elasticated edges 12 incorporating the internal pouches 15 and have a secure reliable means 11 to attach the gusset.

Claims

1 An ostimist lady's brief incorporates a detachable gusset, an all around means for attaching and detaching the gusset, an elasticated skeleton to keep the garment in place when the gusset is completely removed, new shaped body parts which no longer have the gusset shape incorporated, concealed pouches as an internal lining on the front panel., zips opening upwards for side seams and a brief with a detachable back by means of attaching and detaching the side seams.

2 An ostimist lady's brief as claimed in Claim 1 wherein a detachable gusset has an all around variety of means for attaching and detaching.

3 An ostimist lady's brief as claimed in or Claim 2 wherein an elasticated skeleton is the means to keep the garment in place when the gusset is completely removed.

4 An ostimist lady's brief as claimed in Claim 1 incorporates an internal left and right pouch.

An ostimist lady's brief as claimed in Claim 2 and 3 require the pattern blocks to be redesigned and redrafted.

6 An ostimist lady's brief as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 3 wherein the back panel can be attached and detached.

7 An ostimist lady's brief substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1 - 3 of the accompanying drawings.
