Abstract

An anti-AIDS Ayurvedic medicine comprises an aqueous extract of 42 different named herbs mixed with an aqueous extract of Rasont ( Berberis Aristata ), 6 specified bhamas, 3 specified kalpas, 2 specified minerals (Suddha Shilajit and Sudda Gandak) and Rudraksh ash. To prepare the composition the herbs (except for Draksha) and Rasont are pulverised to 10-30 mesh powder, mixed with Draksha and 8 times their weight of water added. The mixture is heated at 100{C to evaporate 75% of the water, filtered and 0.01 to 1% by weight of sodium benzoate added. The extract is then mixed with Rudraksh ash, the bhamas, kalpas and minerals and dried to a 60 mesh powder. The product may be mixed with lactose and placed in capsules.
