Abstract

A lifting device comprises a hollow elongate centre-section with two slightly larger hollow elongate sections telescoping from it at either end. Flat plates pivot from the free ends of the larger sections and extend downwards from them and act to clamp two sides of an object to be lifted. Handles are fixed to these plates and extend above and substantially parallel to the elongate members. The separation of the plates can be fixed by pins which engage with co-operating holes in the small and larger sections. The plates are restricted to pivot from a position substantially normal to the elongate members to a position, towards each other, where they are at 75{ to the elongate members.

Description

The double action manually operated lifting tool is designed to transport materials quickly and safely. It comprises two mild steel holding plates. chamfered at the bottom, located at each end of non-separating square hollow section mild steel tube, which is telescopic to yellow linear adjust ment, and secured with a non-slip mild steel pin on the top of the hollow section located on a quick and square release handle.
Both plates are welded to a hinge and pull handle, offset, located with a securing bolt within the square hollow section at each end which restricts the plates from moving outwards beyond 900, and inwards beyond 75n.
The handles, on lifting, move the plates inwards, creating a clamping effect on any materials placed between the plates.
The handles are offset to create good carrying movement. The materials can then be lifted and transported safely.

Claims (11)

1. A manually operated lifting tool Double Action telescopic design, with hinged end plates and handles, alligned internally, generating clamping action when pulled.
2. A lifting tool with recessed neck locating pins on each telescopic section for holding safety when under load.
3. A lifting tool with hinges designed to restrict clamping movement a secure load.
