Abstract

Shuttles are cast in metal such as aluminium or aluminium alloy and are provided with a recess 4, Figs. 11 and 12, for receiving the spring bobbin holder 3, an extension 7 of the recess being formed for the reception of a U-shaped wedge 8 acting in conjunction with a " shim " 6, Fig. 17, for positioning the wedge. The usual guide member 5 and screw 10 are provided. A recess is cast in the opposite end of the shuttle to receive the thread guide.
