Generating by reduction of pressure. -In steam-generating apparatus wherein the supply of heat and evaporation proceed in separate elements as described in Specifications 12805/00 and 28099/13, the circulated water is automatically regulated in accordance with the increase or decrease of the heat supply. If the water circulation ceases, the heat supply may be interrupted by the automatic redease of a pawl which frees a pair of sliding dampers. The drawing shows an installation in which the water after leaving the heating element 3, passes through a throttle to an injector located within the vaporizer 2; in a modification, the throttling and injecting are effected together. The heating element may be subdivided and more than one vaporizer may be used; a part of the heating element may warm the feed-water.
