Horns, construction of and fluid supply for.-The diaphragm of a fluid-operated horn is so shaped that fluid is allowed to act on both sides thereof, whilst at its edges it is provided with a camber which may be produced in the diaphragm itself or bv its supporting means, or a combination of these cambers mav be employed. In the construction shown, the diaphragm 15 is rectangular and is supported at opposite edges between bevels 14, 18 on a ring member 13 and a sound dome 17 respectively, the members 13, 17 being supported in the casing 2, 3 by tongues 12, 16, between which air from a bulb P is able to pass freely to the underside of the diaphragm 15. The tube 7, extending to the trumpet 8, is adjustably screwed into the extension 6 of the casing 3, a lock nut 9 being provided, and is normally adjusted so that the diaphragm 15 even when vibrating does not touch the bevelled end 10. The horn will operate without blocking either with low-pressure fluid from the bulb P or with highpressure fluid from a pump, and a connection from the latter may be added to the cover 2. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the connection to the cover 2 from the pump may contain a non- return valve. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
