Abstract

228,140. Vogt, W. Jan. 24, 1924, [Convention date]. Order apparatus.-Signalling apparatus for road vehicles comprises a casing a 'having glass front and rear, behind which transparent discs b having arrows x are rotated to signal the direction of the vehicle. The discs b are mounted on a shaft c and are rotated in one or other direction by solenoids n, n<1> which actuate a slidable iron bar f carrying pawls h, h<1>. The pawls co-operate with pins on a disc e mounted on the shaft c. After operation, the bar f is returned to the central position by springs i. The signal discs are illuminated by lamps p. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also an arrangement wherein the signal discs are rotated in one or other direction by pawls u, u<1>, Fig. 4 (Cancelled) respectively, which co-operate with ratchet wheels v, v'. The pawls are carried on the armatures s, s<1> of electromagnets n, n<1> and are held normally out from engagement with the ratchet wheels by abutments t. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
